FMA looks to the future

Last week the FMA presented their thoughts on the future in an IBANZ webinar - "Understanding the direction of change to financial advice". A recording of this event is now available on our website for members.
After more than two years of consultation legislation finally reached parliament just prior to the election. The new government has indicated they will continue to progress this piece of legislation.
As part of their presentation the FMA put up a timeline with the key deadlines over the next two years.
There is still a lot to be finalised in the revised regime, however given the significance of some changes it is essential to begin planning.
