We are pleased to provide free seminars across New Zealand to help Members plan for changes and navigate the new financial advice regime set to come into force 15th March 2021.  With the Disclosure Regulations and the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services finalized and full license conditions for Financial Advice Providers (FAP) consultation closed, this seminar will provide an overview on the following aspects of the new regime:

1. Retail clients definition
2. What qualifies as regulated financial advice 
3. License types and key sharing considerations 
4. Disclosure requirements including what, when and by whom
5. Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services – The Standards
6. Anticipated conditions to FAP licenses 
7. Evidencing what is being done to adhere to disclosure, code and conditions.

I am delighted to confirm that Tim Williams of Chapman Tripp will present with myself.  

Each session will conclude with a Q & A.

With the uncertainty created by COVID-19 we will only be able to hold these seminars in person if the region is at Level 1 and Tim and I are allowed to travel.  Spaces to attend in person will be limited (please consider other member firms when booking), with a further 200 available for virtual attendance.  If the Alert Levels prevent us from holding these in person, all attendees will be sent the link to attend virtually.
