IBANZ Awards

IBANZ, being a professional association within financial services, carries a responsibility to foster and promote excellence in our sector. Professional brokers and the insurance companies they deal with are the key stakeholders in the intermediated insurance sector. We are proud to provide the opportunity for Brokers and Insurers to celebrate excellence in a truly credible way through our awards process.  The great value of these awards is based on a  transparent process.  This is achieved by having brokers choose the "Most Valued Insurer" while the "Outstanding Professional Broker" is determined by insurers.

Outstanding Professional Broker

Recognition from key industry stake holders of individual excellence within the broking industry promotes professionalism and performance amongst brokers. 

Insurers are in a great position to choose and by using a system based on the key qualities of a professional.  This approach gives a far more superior result than one based on self nomination or personal promotion. As with our Insurer award the result is determined by quality of performance.

All insurers in the New Zealand intermediated insurance market are asked to nominate their choice of Outstanding Professional Broker.

Insurers rate each nominee against six key criteria:

	Professional approach in business relationships
	Quality of submissions to insurers
	Knowledge – industry, technical, regulatory
	Professional standards, acting ethically and with integrity
	Communication, relationship skills
	Contribution to the industry

Most Valued Insurer

For several years IBANZ Members have chosen their Most Valued Insurer based on criteria in an annual survey of brokers and support personnel.

This gives a wide group of people the opportunity to provide feedback on insurer performance.  The survey is conducted by international research company TNS, ensuring a comprehensive, transparent approach to determining the award recipient.
