Duration: 1:53

IBANZ is pleased to announce for our Members this FMA-led forum for Class 1 & 2 transitional FAP licensees.

As you will be aware, the target date for submitting Class 1 or 2 applications is 30th September 2022 and this forum is designed to provide guidance by outlining the process and what to expect.

The target audience is those involved in the full FAP licence application process, or those involved in ensuring the FAP meets its licensing obligations.  The forum will include:

- An introduction to the FMA
- Full licences: getting ready to apply, the application process, and commonly asked questions
- Expectations for full (Class 1 and 2) FAP licensees in the new regime
- Interactive case studies, where we work through examples of meeting key licence obligations.

The intention is for this to be an interactive session and time will be set aside in each section for Q & A as well as at the end of the presentation to ensure you have plenty of opportunity to raise any questions you may have.

We will be recording the session and making it available on request for those unable to attend on the day or who wish to review again at a later date.

Please note, this is about FAP licensing and obligations, and will not be covering obligations at the financial adviser level.

This forum is brought to you by the members of the FMA Financial Advice Supervision Team which is part of the Supervision function at the Financial Markets Authority. The Supervision function is responsible for monitoring and investigating activities and conduct that pose risks to fair, efficient, and transparent financial markets in New Zealand; the Financial Advice Supervision team is responsible for the monitoring and supervision of the financial advice sector, and is focused on overseeing the implementation of the new financial advice regime

This forum is free and worth 2 CPD points.
