The first Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake (NHC) webinar in 2026 will walk through how NHCover for residential land works in practice, with a focus on what is covered, limits to cover, how to think about land structures like retaining walls, and common pressure points.

We will also discuss scenarios that may affect NHCover (e.g. notices under section 72 of the Building Act 2004). The session is designed to build your confidence when advising clients, with time for questions at the end. A second NHC webinar in September 2026 will focus on helping you support client’s natural hazard due diligence when they’re purchasing a home.
