Seminar on Internal fit-out failures
12 Jun 2017
The ICNZ has teamed up with BRANZ, EQC and Wellington City Council to bring a seminar that will explore the problems around the failure of building internal fit-out components in an earthquake.
In particular Wellington property owners and businesses will have concerns about resilience issues affecting their business and their tenants’ businesses if were to be another earthquake. The seminar will explore the problems around the performance of non-structural ceilings, mechanical plant, heating and ventilation and sprinkler systems that have been known to collapse in moderate earthquake events.
The 1 day seminar will involve not only the speakers but also the audience in finding solutions to this resilience problem that could affect Wellington as a good place to do business.
